Currency, stay in Banja Luka...

- The official currency in the Republic of Srpska (RS) and Bosnia and Herzegovina is Convertible Mark (КМ, BAM); 1 КМ=0,5112 EUR (1 EUR=1,9558 BAМ). You can have your money exchanged for KM in any bank or exchange office, but you will have to pay a commission, which would not exceed 0,5% though;
- If you plan to have a temporary stay in Banja Luka, on entering the state you are supposed to bring along 75 EUR for each day to be spent in the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Instead of cash, you may prove to possess the required amount by presenting a cashless means of payment or a paid tourist voucher for the sum of 75 EUR per day;
- If you plan to stay in Banja Luka for more than three days, you are supposed to register your stay at the Office for Foreigners/Field Office Banja Luka twelve (12) hours after the arrival in our city at the latest. (The office is situated in 8 Simeun Djak Street, in the vicinity of the British Consulate and the French Cultural Center; contact phone number is 051/ 213-925; www.sps.gov.ba). If you plan to stay in Banja Luka for less than three (3) days, you are not requested to register your stay.
