On November 02 Mayor Dragoljub Davidović received students from the United States of America who were taking a study tour of Europe. Davidović got the students acquainted wit the way the city administration operates and was at their disposal for direct communication and answering their questions.
“Unfortunately, there are many people who have never visited the region. They know Bosnia and Herzegovina only for its war and therefore have a rather distorted perception about us. That is why we try to attract as many people as possible to come here so that they could see for themselves that we have a normal life here. Banja Luka has been taking bold steps forward and, given the present circumstances, we have accomplished enviable results so far. I explained to them the stable functioning of our local community”, Mayor Davidović said.
Conan Newman, a student from the University of Massachusetts, majors in the history of the Balkans. He said that they had come here to learn from locals how peaceful coexistence and tolerance can be created. Newman was very pleased with hospitality experienced in Banja Luka, stressing particular emphasis on the kindness and cordiality of its citizens.
