Mayor Dragoljub Davidović has received another important recognition. The association of citizens "Sva djeca svijeta" (All The World`s Children) presented him with the award for the promotion of children`s rights. The Head of Social Affairs in the Banja Luka City Administration, Mrs Ljiljana Radovanović, was also presented with the award.

"On the occasion of celebrating the Universal Children`s Day we wanted to express our thankfulness to the Mayor for everything that he has done so far for children, particularly in terms of the promotion of their rights", Zoran Rašljić, the Association representative said, and added that: "the Association deals with the promotion of a healthy family and sound parenthood, and in particular with providing aid to multi-member families through the implementation of various projects".

Mayor Davidović expressed gratitude for the recognition and pointed out that the City had generally recognized the issue of population policy. He announced several concrete plans to be carried out in the field in the forthcoming period. Namely, in cooperation with the RS Government certain funds will be earmarked in order to encourage birth rate increase, that is to co-finance in vitro fertilization, and to provide scholarships to multi-member family children. The Mayor reminded that a house in Veseli brijeg, a Banja Luka quarter with the Roma population, was being built from the City budget funds for seven Roma families with twenty-seven children. At the same time, the City helps the functioning of the association of families with four and more children in Banja Luka. The Mayor finally stated that there was a well thought out policy in birth rate increase led by the RS Government.
